Greetings and Salutations.

DJ Joseph Colbourne deserves a brief introduction. Some years back, I ran a postpunk dance night called Dynasty where Joseph was one of the original DJs. It worked for a while, people at the Milky Way danced to Delta 5 and Optimo and we all got drunk, happily ever after. Then Joseph began playing all this Italo and obscurer-than-obscure disco music which I wasn’t down for. Like school-children fighting for the right to pick first in kickball, we had some choice words on the matter and either he quit or I fired him.

I believe he was upset at being limited to specific genres (and my constantly referring to 12”s as LPs) and I chewed him out for not being able to mix. Fast-forward a few years to where Joseph can mix, and a less-cocky Sisto happens to like Italo, and we’re back in action. So now, without further ado: the first in a hopefully long-series of Monday Mixes for Scene Feeder. Someone give this guy a Friday night already.
